Who is behind PLAD8?
PLAD8 was conceived and built by a veteran lifestyle couple and our community of slut friends (the Slutty McSluts). We all grew frustrated by the sparse few broken/slow/outdated apps and websites for finding ENM play dates while being discrete. So we are building our own and including all the things our own modern slut community wants and needs!
What can Members Do?
A few planned member features include:
- Matching with nearby ENM singles, couples, and throuples+ for play dates
- Secure encrypted group texting/chatting threads with friends or dates
- Private friend social feeds and galleries! A calendar for sharing and planning events, travel, and dates
- And plenty more! We'll continually listen to member feedback and evolve PLAD8 features over time
How much does it cost to be a member? Is there a free version?
We're still figuring that out. It costs a lot to host and maintain secure servers and storage for something like PLAD8. We also know that sites and apps that offer free modes can get swarmed with fake or bot accounts. We are not funded by any corporate entity, we are community driven, so we want to make sure we can cover costs while safely connecting real people and reducing spam & fakery.
Having said that, our current thinking is there will probably be a free tier and two levels of paid membership that come with more features and usage benefits.
When can I join?
PLAD8 is currently in Early Access development and membership is wait-listed. New members are allowed in incremental stages so we can evolve the site and app to suit all our slutty needs securely and reliably, while we scale up the backend services that make larger numbers of members possible.
What does "Early Access" mean?
Early Access is a method of creating and releasing software that engages with the user community much earlier in the process (i.e., before a "1.0" full featured release). This allows the software to evolve organically around the actual needs and wants of real users, rather than building out a giant blueprint and hoping it is what people actually want when it is released. It also helps determine if the costs of operating the service are feasible and set the lowest, most practical pricing for end users.
There will be new and changing features constantly, and thus unfortunately sometimes bugs in the live service. There will also be features that eventually move to a paid tier of membership as we prove them out in Early Access first. We strive to keep PLAD8.com up and running 24/7 as if it was a released product throughout Early Access... which helps to make it much more reliable and stable when it does reach "1.0" and beyond.
Why should I use and/or pay for PLAD8 in Early Access?
Early Access Members directly influence the direction PLAD8 takes as a platform to be as useful as possible to you and others like you. PLAD8 is community driven and not backed by corporate funding. Your financial support directly enables faster development and more promotion, helping PLAD8 grow into the community we all hope it can be!

I'm on the wait list. How long until I get access?
As we continue to stabilize new features and add hardware and hosting capacity, wait-listed members are added in waves based on the order they joined the wait-list. While we can't say specific dates, we can say the earlier you get on the wait-list, the sooner you'll get access!
I signed up but why am I not receiving my confirmation emails?
Certain email providers (we're looking at you, yahoo.com 😕) have some known issues accepting emails from our backend service providers.
Things you can try:
- Check your spam, promotions, or other such automatic filter folders.
- Add the "[email protected]" email address and the "PLAD8.com" domain to your contacts and/or email provider's whitelists.
- Contact your email provider and ask them to add "PLAD8.com" as a trusted domain for email delivery.
- Sign up with an alternate email address from a different provider. For example, gmail.com addresses are known to work.
Why do you need my location?
PLAD8's main feature is connecting you with nearby members for real life play dates. Your exact location is never visible to others. Locations are used only by our servers when searching for other nearby members based on your search preferences and privacy filters, and to show approximate distances between members. If you disable or block location sharing with PLAD8, you will not appear in anyone's Pool and you will not be able to dip and swim through your own Pool.
How do I enable location access?

Why is my location showing as very far away from where I actually am (in Firefox Web Browser)?
There is a known issue with the Firefox web browser that it sometimes incorrectly calculates your real world position. If you notice this happening, try these workarounds that have been reported to work for some:
- Run Firefox as an Administrator (in Windows)
- Type "about:config" in the Firefox address bar and hit ENTER. It will load advanced configuration preferences. Search for or add a preference called "geo.provider.use_geoclue" as a Boolean and make sure it is set to false.
- Restart Firefox and try to update your location again.
- Use a different browser until Firefox fixes their bug!
What if I accidentally give a Strike (aka a "Nope") to a Member that I actually really liked?
Not to worry! This used to happen to us all the time on other platforms, and the regret of swiping the wrong way is real! Our Strike system is designed to give you a second and third chance. If you give a Strike to a Member, they will be removed from your pool for a minimum of 3 days, after which they will show up again with a Strike indicator on their profile. If you give them a second Strike, they will be removed from your Pool for at least 30 days. The third Strike you issue means that Member is out of your Pool forever.
How do Maybes work?
Giving someone a Maybe temporarily removes them from your Pool for 1 week, so you don't have to constantly swipe past them every time you dip in the Pool. Elite Members can also view their Maybe list at any time.
Why do people sometimes disappear from my Likes and Maybes lists?
There are a few reasons another Member might disappear from any of your unmatched connection lists, such as Likes and Maybes. These include:
- They gave you 3 strikes or blocked you for any reason (i.e. they are not interested, you are too far away, etc.)
- Their account was deactivated for any reason
- Their account no longer exists
Never take it personally or get upset if you don't end up matching with a given Member! People can be incompatible for as many reasons as they are compatible, and the best real life connections happen when two or more people are genuinely interested in each other. It's always best to move on and just keep swimming in the Pool!
How do Tags work?
[This feature is currently in development and evolving] Plus subscribers can assign up to 40 custom tags to any of their Matches or their Matches' Content. Elite subscribers can assign tags to any Member or Content they have access to. Once you've added tags, you can then search and filter by any of those tags. Tags are private to only you, other Members can't see what you've tagged their profile or Content with (unless you tell them). This is a great way to quickly organize and find your Vault content and other Members in any way you see fit, in addition to being able to group your Matches into Circles!
How can I make animated GIFs for my profile and Rooms?
Animated footage is a great way to stand out in the Pool, or send more exciting messages in your Rooms. Modern smart phones make it easy to create animated GIFs. You usually will want to start with a video you've captured. Most Android phones have GIF creation built into their video players, but Apple devices usually require downloading a specific app. Here's a good starting point to learn how to create them, depending on what kind of phone you have.
Once you have a GIF, it's the same process to upload them to PLAD8 as you do with any other image file.Can I create a couples account like some other platforms have?
PLAD8 profiles reflect individuals by design because we have yet to learn of just about any relationship where the partners are identical to each other! This also allows more flexibility beyond the traditional "couple" for unconventional committed relationships, in other words polycules, throuples, etc. You can very easily link two (or more!) accounts to indicate almost any kind of partnership status or polyamorous chain. While some Members may still choose to treat a profile as their "couple" profile, all of PLAD8's current and future features will work better if you create profiles that reflect your unique individuality, even if only one of them is actively subscribed and managed.
Why does PLAD8 request notifications permission?
We promise we're not going to spam you with unwanted notifications! But we're guessing you'd like to know when someone likes you, you match with someone, or a new Room message arrives, without having to stay logged in all the time. To enable this, you must grant permission for plad8.com to push notifications to you. More info on how to set this up is on Setting Feature Permissions for PLAD8!
Why doesn't my billing statement show "PLAD8"?
The PLAD8 platform is owned and operated by our holding company, Data Vanilla, LLC. Due to financial laws and regulations, the holding business name is required on invoices and billing receipts.
